Pascale FABRE, ambassador for bringing science and society closer together

Pascale Fabre, Research Director at CNRS at the L2C, devotes her research to a major challenge of our time: plastic pollution in the oceans. In 2019, she founded the GDR “Polymers and Oceans,” a multidisciplinary network bringing together French scientists working on plastic pollution in the ocean, which she led until 2023.

She is committed to informing and supporting political decision-making, notably by participating in the 2025 United Nations Ocean Conference, thereby demonstrating how physics can help inform societal choices. In 2025, she was appointed Scientific Outreach Ambassador for CNRS Physics.
