The Newave project has already led to the following achievements :

Figure : Ridge waveguide laser device with a GaN-based polaritonic active layer, ended with two distributed Bragg reflectors (SEM image). The laser spectrum (green) presents a specific envelope associated to the mode-locking operation, i.e. the formation of solitonic temporal pulses in the cavity, as shown in the numerical simulation of the polariton laser dynamics (bottom).
